Math Sprout program provides a great supplement to my daughter's math curriculum. I find it very convenient that we can do this at home at our own pace without having to go anywhere.

First Grade Math Worksheets

Math Sprout curriculum is based on a step-by-step process to grow the students proficiency in math. Math Sprout will mail a month’s supply of daily workbooks to you. One 15 minute workbook should be filled out each school day. Our simple process is easy for a student to follow and improvement is seamless. We don’t build up pressure with complex problems to solve, rather we move the student along slowly with repetition of problems they are comfortable solving, gradually increasing the complexity over time, so that they barely notice the increase in skill level and keep their interest in Math.

Our worksheets have been carefully planned by teachers who have decades of experience with math curriculum. The worksheets have a combination of math problems and critical thinking problems. Students not only learn how to solve math problems but to also apply these math skills to solve word problems. Students develop these math skills simultaneously and seamlessly.

During the 1st grade, first grade math students will learn addition and subtraction. The students will start with solving basic addition facts using math problems and thinking strategies such as 'count forward', 'count back' etc. They will first learn about addition of numbers up to 18, gradually learning to add higher numbers.
