Math sprout is great for Elementary school kids. My daughter has been doing this program for a few months now, she really likes it. It gives her excellent math practice. The rewards program which is unique in this program motivates her to do it every day. She was very excited when she earned enough reward points for the wind-up tumbling monkey.

Where Does Your Child Start

Math Sprout program has an assessment test process to determine the student's current math proficiency. While this proficiency is related to the students age and grade, we find that many students can actually be ahead or behind their grade level. This is perfectly natural and our program helps students continue working on math problems that match their math skills, helping build confidence and accuracy.

The table below shows our recommended starting Sprout Units for students, if you choose to skip the assessment test. This is only a guideline and the assessment test scores will tell us where to actually start the student. We strongly encourage your child to take the assessment test.

If you choose to skip the assessment test for your child, we monitor the students' scores each month and mail them workbooks for the next month based on their scores. So, the student will eventually work on math problems that meet their proficiency levels.
